So any one have any ideals. On my iPhone 5 have wifi Bluetooth and mobile hot spot turned on. Sometimes it sees it right away some time never at all. Don't matter if both are charging charged the surface almost always see other networks but not my iPhone.

You might want to ask MS why they designed a device to be incompatible with iPhones. Just can't imagine why they would do that...
Well i have an iPhone and a iPad and yet have never had issues with them with MS products
I would suggest finding a surface support forum, just because not many people here have one and wouldn't be able to troubleshoot it.

Get rid of any special character(s) in the name of your phone (Settings -> General -> about -> Name). Reboot and try again. (like an apostrophe)
