how to upgrade iphone 5 to ios 6.1.6?

How can I upgrade my iphone 5 from ios 6.1.4 to 6.1.6? ios7 is not an option due to some regressions (e.g. calendar sync, folder restrictions, etc.)

This is a serious letdown in the Apple community, if Iphone 5 users that refuse to use the IOS 7, cannot update their devices to IOS 6.1.6, we will remain on the endangered list of users.

Apple needs to fix this issue for those of us who cannot update due to the many reasons given around the community.

I didn't want to update to IOS 6 from 5 and inadvertantly was updated and loss use of many of my favorite apps that no longer work on 6. I sure don't want that to happen again.

Sorry, I didn't meant to play the troll.

But you have to admit that this license story is a valid point. All these beta versions released for ios5, 6 or 7 show that Apple can support more than one operating system per device in parallel. Their software developers are surely sufficiently clever to verify their new ios version on all devices they have, not just the devices they allow their customers to use.

The only reason for not providing ios 6.1.6 without security flaw for the iphone5 is because Apple said so. This is not fair play.

Agree. Not fair play and not smart. Corporate exec types learn to rely on their iPhone apps AND interfaces for all kinds of business functions, and are reluctant to change everything they like for the sake of a "pretty" new design. Intentionally exposing their whole enterprises to SSL vulnerabilities because these users won't change to a less friendly interface is not only foul play on Apple's part, it's just a dumb business model.
