iCloud Keychain set up. Require the code number which sent to my home phone number but I cannot access for a few days. I'd like to change the phone number so that I can find the code number. How to or where to request?

Indeed, you can change the phone number that the code is being sent to. The following article details this process.
Check that you have the correct phone number associated with your account:
- Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Check that the phone number listed under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
- Macs using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Check that the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

this does not work, I have changed this and on my device it still tries to send text to a number that cannot get text
unfortunately there is no "verrification number" option when I follow these steps. Or at least I cannot find it! Thanks for the suggestion, anything further to locate the verrification number option much appreciated.

I cannot access to the phone number you are sending the code number. Can I change the phone number to send the code number?
