battery drain on 7.0.6

I'm having the same issues as stated in OP's post, as well as many of the others in this thread. It noticed it with the 7.06 update as well. It was a very destinct difference. Starting with a full charge, I would still be at at least 50% by evening time. I now am at ~30% to ~45% by lunchtime. Nothing I've done seems to change this. I've noticed my iPad 2 drains quicker too. I have also noticed my iPhone 5 does not charge nearly as quick too.😮

What I ask people who suggest turning off everything is...What's the point of having the dang phone if everything is shut off? I think this is a horrible suggestion (sorry, not directed at you personally). I think the phone should work as advertised, with all the features (you personally use) turned on.

I agree with u, we pay so much for a dam device that can not work properly, and worst of all apple does not give a **** about their clients, at least they should have addressed the issue so that we know if the solution will be solved or not, I only wished if it was possible to downgrade, would have done that at least to ios 7.0.4 or to 7.0.5 which did not give this drastical battery drain. Now my phone is a piece of brick 80% of the day it's on charge. Shame on apple

You can't call in to Apple unless you have an extended warranty.

IOS 7.1 is available for download.

I'll be curious to see feedback from folks to see if IOS 7.1 remedies the battery drain issue. Anyone tried yet?

Same here I'm not going to update to 7.1 at least till I see or get a feedback that it solved the 7.0.6 battery drain wouldn't want it to be worst than it is, kindly if someone has updated to 7.1 and had the battery drain issue after updating to ios 7.0.6 resolved, kindly notify thanks

they keep deleting my posts about that, but what helped me tremendously was simply switching off SIRI competely...

My phone died within 4-5 hours (new, clean install, the third new hardware in a row)... and since I switched off SIRI it holds the battery for over 24 hours even if I use it a lot...

told it to the Apple Store 'geniuses' today in Berlin, hopefully that info makes it into the next update.

I've just installed 7.1 on my iPhone 5S that had been experiencing the battery issue with 7.0.6. I'll perform a full charge this evening and report back tomorrow.

I updated IOS7.1 to my iphone 4 .. Very disappointed ... The battery still gone like desperately.. Only I can let my phone back to normal is to turn off the cellular data and disable 3G.. .. Apple are you forcing me to change new phone?

Hi lookat, I think u have a point their I've been having serious battery drain after the 7.0.6 update, I did everything possible even restoring my device 2wice but their was no joy, not until yesterday that I so ur post and thought I should give it a try, frankly speaking after switching off Siri I noticed a change in the battery drain, it's less but for me it still drains but not as fast as it use too be, I hope the 7.1 update will resolve this battery issue, although I'm still waiting for feedbacks before I update thanks

i have just updated to 7.1. and yet not dared to switch SIRI on again, but I will tell you guys whats going on when i know...

the difference here has been astonishing so far (under 7.0....) from 4-6 hours to 36 hours of life
