Multiple display problem in OSX 10.9.2

I am having a similar issue after upgrading to 10.9.2. I am interesting in downgrading back to 10.9.1. I do have a Time Machine backup. Can you explain how you downgrade to 10.9.1? Is it as simple as restoring the Library folder back to before the 10.9.2 update?

Can you explain how to set external display to use DisplayPort 1.1 instead of 1.2?

amaga, thank you so much for the files and your solution. What a relief to have mu second monitor working again.

I'll just mention that I couldn't get kext utility to work, but instead needed to use Kext Wizard.

Also, out of curiosity, what was the 5th kext you loaded? I'm only seeing these 4 from your screenshot:

• AMD7000Controller.kext
• AMDFrameBuffer.kext
• AMDRadeonX4000.kext
• AMDSupport.kext

I tried replacing those 4 with the version (1.16.39) I extracted from apple's OSX 10.9.1 mac pro updater PKG but it simply caused osx to fail to advance to the login screen (instead it showed me some noisy junk framebuffer). Bummer!

Also, amaga's files seem to be version 1.14.21, which I'm hesitant to try since my other attempt failed.

You also need the AMDRadeonX4000GLDriver.bundle

MBP 8.1 and displayPort -> VGA doesn't work, DVI does – but unfortunately I don't have display with this input. So I'm trying to do everthing including PRAM & SMC reset, but no results.

The last option is amaga solution. I don't have any backups so i wanna ask you guys, can anyone can share file for intel graphic extensions.

In extension directory i have 4 file which was changed after update to 10.9.2.

- IOGraphicsFamily.kext

- IONDRVSupport.kext

- IOPCIFamily.kext

- System.kext

If anyone else is having similar issues I suggest following amagas instructions using the drivers he uploaded to dropbox and the kext utility.

Read the thread, and this simple fix (re-selecting my previous display profile in System Preferences/Display/Color/Display Profile) was my problem on an iMac with a flickering display.

No SMC or NVRAM/PRAM Resetnecessary here.

THe free App "Display Menu" solved my problem on my 2009 MacPro using 2 displays. Try it!
