Audio output via firewire

I can not get audio working through firewire on my late 2013 MacBook Pro 13".

If I test channels in channel setup it gives me static, but if I play iTunes od Spybot nothing happens.

Internal speakers work fine.

Any ideas what to do?

I am connecting it through the firewire thunderbolt adapter. Then firewire 400/800 cable, because Presonus mixer has Firewire s400 port.

Funny is that iTunes worked fine in the morning. Then I started to check why I can not play Youtube through firewire. From Audio MIDI Setup - Presonus Firestudio - Output - Configure Speakers I changed Multichannel channels. That was all I changed.

Yes. I have tryed everything I can think of.

Question is - if the static comes through then why audio is not coming?

In Audio Devices - Configure Speakes there is two options - Stereo and Multichannel. Both af them have a blue dot in channels window.

Maybe MacBook is trying to send out multichannel signal when it only needs stereo signal?
