Icloud backup

My old iphone was stoling few days before, I was taking icloud backup before i lost it and now i have new ipone but when i restore icloude data i have only contacts " even not all what i was having as i lost many numbes " .. is the icloud backup only contain contacts only ? I hope if i can have my old photos 😟
