Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I can start and login to my mac. When I do it says the HD is almost full and then proceeds to the desktop which is blank/white. I can see my mouse cursor but that is it.

Try restarting in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift Key when you hear the start up tone appears until you see a progress bar. Then once it has booted move large libraries such as your iTune, iPhoto, iMovies libraries to an External Hard Disk and then empty your Trash. Once teh large libraries are moved over then attempt to restart normally. Don't worry the libraries will not affect the operation of iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie etc...

Only move the files I mentioned, your iTunes library, your iPhoto library and your iMovie library. DO NOT, repeat DO NOT move any applications. Apple explains how to remove these libraries to an EHD in

By following the instructions in those articles you will be able get more HD space back.
