Buying an iPod on eBay

i am looking to buy a 30GB Video iPod on eBay. I am planning to buy a factory sealed box. so my question is this:

Do i need a store receipt from a store such as best buy to have a valid one year warranty?

just print out your paypal and ebay receipt. This should be suitable enough for proof of purchase.
