Apple tv's light blinks very fast and tv shows itunes symbol and a connect cable, but it will not do anything. Tried unplugging it, but that was no help and I do not see a a reset button.

Hi Griff,
The problem is that I cannot even get the screen from your solution to come up on my TV. So, I need to be able to have something on a screen to see before I can restore anything. Also, I have a brand new Macbook with the USB-C port only. So, I have no way to connect the apple tv to my mac until I spend $80 on an adapter.
Any suggestions until then?
