Install Snow Leopard on a 2013 MacBook Air

Hello.

I'm quite interested in buying a 2013 MacBook Air.

as far as I'm aware, that Mac model will have OS X Mavericks unstalled, but, due to work related circunstances, I would like to create a partition, and to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on that partition. Basically, i would liek to make a dual boot: Snow Leopard / Mavericks.

Question: Is it possible to install Snow Leopard on a 2013 MacBook Air?!

(And yes, I'm aware that Snow Leopard doesn't bring most of Mavericks functions!)

Thank you for any hel you may provide me.

All the best!

1) I used Snow Leopard (Client). I ordered Snow Leopard Server but received Snow Leopard Server.

Is this a typo? You actually received Snow Leopard client?

Please call Apple and explain the problem and have them ship you out Snow Leopard Server. It is much easier to install, run and maintain.

In the meantime, you can run your PPC apps on the older MBP as needed, until SLS arrives.

Correction: The reason I set the Virtual Machine on the older MacBook Pro first was because Parallels reported that it was an invalid OS on the New MacBook Pro where the older computer did not have that issue.

Are you moving the ".pvm" file from one Mac to the other? Is it giving you this dialog box:

If so, what did you click?

Thank you for your reply.

1) Apple is sending me Snow Leopard Server. My challenge is, my out of warranty old, MacBook Pro's battery is "swelling" and I have been trying to minimize its use. Further, there are two screws I am unable to release, probably because of the tightness from the swollen battery.

2) I don't recall getting a message about Duplicate MAC addresses detected. I had received a message about whether or not I was "copying" the PVM to another computer or moving it. I chose "copy".

Hello,

I received my Snow Leopard Server installation DVD. I successfully installed Snow Leopard Server. I am receiving the exact same results.

I double-click on Appleworks 6.2.9 as well as other PPC applications. It bounces for a couple of seconds in the Dock. It disappears.

I did verify during the installation that Rosetta was installed.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

Thank you for your prompt reply. You are correct. I am attempting to run the applications (copied) from the old computer. Perhaps a "major" oversight, I did not expect that I would be required to reinstall the applications, even something such as Appleworks. I will have to attempt to locate the original installation media.

Thank you for sticking with me.
