iPhone 5S keeps blocking people

this happened to me too. i saw messages coming in on my macbook that i haven't seen on my iPhone 6... i look and see that my whole group chat of 12 (except 3 people) have been blocked! apple needs to look into this problem since it caused conflict

Repeating yourself here is doing absolutely no good for getting your problem solved.

My iPhone 6 did the same thing! For several MONTHS I could text my dad but he could not call or text me back and we had no clue what the problem was. He even reset his phone and everything. We checked all the SMS messaging and everything reccomended online. Only after my brother said "maybe you blocked him" as a last possible thing, I checked and there it was "unblock this caller." I never go into my dad's specific contact let alone scroll all the way down to "block." The weirdest thing ever as it takes a specific action to block a caller that I know I never did.

You don't have to be a mind reader. He answered the question clearly...
Q: Is Do Not Disturb possibly turned on?
A: It's turned off bc there is no other explanation and I have heard of this before.
