The only solution would be for Apple to ship you a new one...at DHL's expense, of course. Be sure to b*tch and moan, too, and demand something in return. Hey, maybe you'll get some free RAM or (if you already have a loaded 15") an upgrade to a 17". And with all the aggravation you're haivng to go through, with potentially comprised data, waiting periods, etc., you certainly deserve it.
As for lost things with DHL, I can't say I've had a problem. Of course, I've only ever gotten two packages via DHL: my replacement Xbox, and Office:Mac. Other than that, 90% of the stuff I get comes UPS, the other 10% FedEx. Speaking of FedEx, I'm a little worried about my 17" MBP: it's been sitting in Shaghai since FedEx picked it up in Shaghai 2 1/2 days ago. Well, it's not supposed to be here for another 2 days anyway, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see...
