how can I put a dialer shortcut on home screen of Iphone 5S

New to the iPhone. Is there a dialer icon I can drag to the homescreen? If so, where is it located? If not, is there a way to create one? thank you

what I would like is to put an icon for the keypad on my homescreen. I have found the icon for Contacts to put on my home screen, but there are times I have to call someone not in my contacts. It would be easier to just go to a keypad icon than have to open the phone icon and switch to dialer if the last use was Contacts. Is there a way to get a keypad icon?

Do you mean the phone keypad?
No but the Phone app will open with the last thing you had selected.

Open your Phone app and select Keypad then close the Phone app.

Everytime you open the Phone app it will go to the Keypad until you change it.

Always make sure it is on Keypad before you close it.

As I said in my previous post, no.

If you leave your Phone app on Keypad it will act as a shortcut to the dialer as long as the Phone is on dialer before you close it. Every time you tap Phone it will open the Keypad.

Go to the app store and search "phone keypad". There are a number of apps that will open to a keypad and let you enter a number.
