I've been reading a few discussions on how to split one page into two equal parts horizontally. I want it to appear like a flyer so I can cut it into half. Someone please help me. Everything I've read uses Word 2010 and below.

From the Home tab on the ribbon, click the Shape icon and choose Lines and Connectors, and then the top left line icon. Click anywhere about the center of the page. Initially, a 45º line will be placed. Grab the ends of the line and move them to the left and right edges of the page. As you move them, it will snap to perfectly horizontal as you get close enough to horizontal as you drag one end or the other.
For the most part, the line will hold its position unless some other object gets to close and bumps it out of place.
Use the Help menu.
Okay, I was just waiting to see if you'd discover this rather easy procedure yourself.
1) Press Command+A to highlight all of your text.
2) Click on the Columns icon and select "Two"
Done.
Not columns. What I mean was divide a page into two equal parts. Like I can fold it in half easily.
Do you mean like this? Where your text boxes are top and bottom with the text flowing across them?
Yes, but how can I put a line/border/break in the middle of that page? 😐
Whenever I edit a text on the upper part the line comes down.
Go to the main menu at the top of the screen in Word 2011, select "Window", then select "Split". That's all there is to it. 
Never knew that one was there. Way easier. 🙂
