iPad Mini going crazy!! Screen is moving and randomly selecting on its own.

My iPad mini has started to randomly make selections and move the screen on its own. I've updated the OS 7.0.6 and rebooted several times, cleaned the screen, still driving me crazy. Any ideas?

The issue is not consistent, it comes and goes. Imagine someone remote managing your iPad! and controlling from remote, except they aren't making rational moves or selections. When I touch the screen it starts zooming randomly like a pinch.

Rebooted by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds kind of reboot? That didn't work? No cover or screen protector on the iPad that could be causing problems?

Have you closed all apps and then reboot/reset the iPad? I don't hold out a lot of hope that it will be this easy to fix, but it's an easy thing to try next in the unlikely event that some app has gone bonkers and it causing the problem.

In order to close an app - drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it. Close every app this way.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I Had the same problem with my iPhone 5 iOS 9.2.1.

The easiest way to do this is to go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings

You will be asked to enter a passcode (You may be asked for a passcode. I never set it, but figured out that it was 1234).

A confirmation will be asked. Follow the steps.

ios will restart and there... Your device is normal again!

My iPad mini has also start acting like it is being remotely controlled. I've narrowed it down to it does it or it starts doing it while taking pictures. Once it even placed a bid on ebay and once it listed something on ebay. To make it stop while it is going crazy I have to hold down the power button until it shuts off or there is no telling what it will do. It's like someone is just randomly tapping all over my screen and I can't make it stop.

I'll reboot, shut it down, clear the memory (I like SYS-activity), and sometimes that will help (for an hour maybe) and sometimes it will not help. Sometimes after shutting it completely off and turning it back on it does it immediately.

I have no screen protector interfering with the screen. It seems like it started happening right after the update to OS 9.3.1.

It does it whether I am taking pictures through the camera itself or through an app (like ebay). It's getting dangerous to take pictures because I can't control it once it goes crazy and I could bid a million dollars on something on ebay if I don't shut it down fast enough.

PS - I do not have multitasking gestures on.

My case is similiar to yours, no multitasking gestures,no screen protectors. It seems like its hacked and starts in almost any app,it even sent a request for a new password to my bank and I was totally unaware until I got a link for a password reset. closing out apps doesnt help, rebooting doesnt help, I even reset to factory defaults and updated software and its still glitchy- ghost typing, opening and closing apps, app crashes.
