i've changed my apple id password several times, on my laptop and also using the iphone. still not recognizing my password when i tried installing facebook.

Why dont you make an another gmail,hotmail,yahoo account, and use your new email to create an apple id. There's nothing else you can do my friend.

On your phone, Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap the ID shown...sign out, now sign back in with your ID & new password. Try installing Facebook now.
You do need an apple id beacuse you can only download facebook app through the app store, and in order to use app store and download apps, you need an apple id.
If you forgot your password and id, you can make a new apple id, log with it to the app store, download facebook, and you're good to go.

It's been frustrating trying to log in with my apple id because it couldn't recognize my password.
I tried resetting on the computer, and also on the iphone several times but everytime i tried to install facebook and typed in the user (email address) and new password, it says it doesnt recognize it. My other option is to create a new id which isn't an option becuase i dont have another email address to use. There were times when i tried and it would point me to itune.
At this point I'm stuck and I pretty much cannot do anything with this phone. I need help!

Stop before you do something like create a NEW Apple ID that will only cause more problems for you. What exactly are you saying?
Are you trying to download and install the Facebook App from the App Store and the App Store doesn;t accept your password?
Are you trying to enter your Facebook username and password in the iPhone Settings in Settings > Facebook?
Do you already have the Facebook App and it doesn;t recognize your Facebook username and password?
