On iPad, in order to copy you will first need to just do a reply or forward (you will not actually do either), but this will enable you to be in edit-type mode. Once you've selected reply or forward, click twice somewhere on the text that you want to copy. The word will be highlighted and have 2 blue spots around the highlite. Hold down one of the blue spots and drag it to what you want to copy. If you need to, do the same for the other blue spot in order to drag and copy from that area. Once you've captured what you want to copy, select copy.
Open a new email and paste in what you copied. From there you can edit the text that you pasted in.
Hope this helps.

If you mean what is below (in the red square), yes that is TEXT. Tap on it, select and then edit or delete. But there is no way to programatically prevent it from appearing in the email body when you FORWARD an email.
If you mean something else, you will need to describe in much more detail or be more specfic.

You continue to post this question is several threads, but it is not clear what you wish to do. Do you want to delete teh TEXT that contains previous recipients in teh body of the email? If so, this has been described to you several times already. If not, you will need to be more specific about what you want to accomplish (as is in describe in detail what you are doing).

You can select/copy from the original email. There's no need to "Reply" or "Forward".
Meg - OK, yes I see that now. To select/copy you can't just tap 2x though. You must hold your finger on the area you want to copy and then the highlite selection comes up. Thanks for the tip.
Hope all this helps George Guenther.

I wish to Forward a message w/o showing who sent it to me or who else it was previously sent to. Can easily do this on my Desktop PC, but not on my IPad. Nothing to do with text.
Select the body of the email message. Copy it. Paste it into a new message. Select recipient. Send.
How do I Select, Copy, Paste into a new message from the original email?
