Hi,

In very simple terms SIMBL is a method used to ease some apps' use of some parts of the OS without putting files all over the place.

Those Apps that use this method will check at Install whether SIMBL is installed already and install it if it isn't.

Back in early versions of iChat there were add-ons that used SIMBL to modify the Menus and other parts of the App and add a Preferences Pane.

This item:-

/Users/sylvain/Library/Preferences/com.github.norio-nomura.EasySIMB L.plist

Is the bit that is being called but is not present.

If you know where the EasySIMBL item is and your know it is not being used by anything else you could delete it.

These lines are not involved in the iMessages login issue.

These however:-

2015-03-05 6:07:59.603 PM soagent[1702]: FaceTime or Messages is running. Keeping soagent alive for now.

2015-03-05 6:07:59.604 PM soagent[1702]: No active accounts, but FaceTime or Messages is running. Will check again in 30 seconds

SOAgent is a helper app for FaceTime and iMessages.

The other items:-

2015-03-05 6:50:55.855 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[191]: (com.apple.iChat.87504[2240]) Exited: Killed: 9

2015-03-05 6:50:55.860 PM soagent[2167]: No active accounts, killing soagent in 10 seconds

2015-03-05 6:51:05.861 PM soagent[2167]: FaceTime or Messages is running. Keeping soagent alive for now.

2015-03-05 6:51:05.862 PM soagent[2167]: No active accounts, but FaceTime or Messages is running. Will check again in 30 seconds

Are involved but if you have sorted the Font issue it is difficult to say what the issue is.

The suggestion that iChat is running (which the way the System numbers it it will be (Messages is identified as iChat in many places) but that it is the 2240 process to be running seems a little high. (See the Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities)

What does the actually App tell you about not logging In ?

(there is obviously some sort of issue with Quick Look but that will not effect Message/iMessages either)
