I have a HP Deskjet 2540 that now will not print. How can I get this printer to start printing again?

I just got a Mac Mini. There was the OS 10.9.2 update and now my printer will not work. I have tried to re-download the driver. I have done and re-done the printer and scanner cue. I have now deleted the printer and the installation but I don't see my printer on this list. It is a brand new printer. Please help!
