Safari crashes on reset

Hello

Ever since installing OSX 10.9.2, I have been getting the continuous beachball when resetting safari (v 7.0.2) and having to force quit the app. I've tried deleting caches and .plists as referred to in other related threads but these have not had any affect.

The salient points from the console log are as follows. Any support or interpretation appreciated:

Thanks

JL

I've had a chance to test today having disabled Safari synching with iCloud.

Still experiencing the reset beach balls. Console messages leading up to and at the time are:

I've removed the subfolder Caches contents and tested now having Safari Version 7.0.3 (9537.75.14) but have still experienced the hang on reset.

Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.

Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all data on the startup volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.

If you use FileVault 2, then in Disk Utility select the icon of the FileVault volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted.

When you reboot, the Setup Assistant will launch to take you through the initial setup process. Follow the prompt to transfer the data from one of your backups. Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system.

If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.

I have spent some time going through an erase and install operation but again experienced the beachball/hang whilst testing resetting Safari during organizing my system arrangments afterwards.

Thanks for all your support in workng through this problem with me Linc. I think I'll have to hold on until 10.9.3 if this issue is something Apple are actively working on.

Appreciated

This is what finally worked. Had tried most everything else. Experienced user here, but oh, Mavericks is strange and touchy, would not have known what to delete. Who are you? These discussions have mostly consisted of the blind leading the blind,or the newb leading etc, thus been sadly worthless, which is clearly one of Apple's many blind spots.

Should also post this in Safari Crashes on Downloading topic, I suppose, if such exists. Thanks, whoever you are, Masked Man.
