iOS 7.1 Personal Hotspot APN settings won't save on iPhone 4

Hello,

I am facing a problem, which would be great to resolve. Since I updated to iOS 7.1 I can't set APN setttings for Personal Hotspot in my iPhone. If I go to Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Settings, and I set the APNs(for data+mms) and i go back to save the freshly set APN settings then it saves, but if I touch any fields in the "Personal Hotspot" section (even focusing) and I go back the same way any changed value won't save (e.g. I also change data APN). In the menu "Cellular" there is an option for personal tethering where it just keeps loading and after a ehile it becomes an available option, but if I click on it it displays an error message like: "...contact: Carrier". So I tried everything, I reset my network settings, did 3 full restore(via iTunes, in recovery mode and DFU too). Then finally I downgraded to iOS 6.1.2 and guess what, it started working.. Then I thought it repaired some settings bug which burned in my device and I restored 7.1 in DFU. Now it is not working again. I need the help of community since I need hotspot tethering so hard everyday for my job. Thanks in advance!

Same problem here! Updated iPhone 4 16GB to iOS 7.1 and now i can't use a personal hotspot anymore!

Atleast let us Downgrade to the few last versions untill the bugs fixed ?!

Another my post was removed - quckly and very elegant - so much power, so many people working for this company looking for "bad" posts - why no one of them write officialy that most advanced mobile OS has a personal hotspot bug and soon will be fixed???

Well, i have an iPhone 4 with the same problem, i upgraded to iOS 7.1 and the hotspot stopped working. I'm from chile and i have Virgin Mobile, a virtual carrier of course.

Apple not willing to solve this problem at all, not even they are accepting it as a bug. How rediculous......Didnt' expect this from Apple

Lets face it, Appple does not care, we all keep checking back to this thread almost every day and nothing has changed in weeks or more. For every one that writes on this forum close to one hundred read through and do not write anything. Millions of users are affected and apple does not care.

I have also this problem. Hotspot doesn't work after upgrade ios to 7.1. Before that everything was ok but now I can't save my apn name on hotspot menu and I don't have any hotspot connection.

i couldn´t agree more. if the bug was about making free calls for everyone it will have been fixed on minutes, but this one affects users and, right now, that means nothing for apple.

this is not the bug that annoys me the most, even if it is unfortunate for a product at this price and a company of such importance.

it is not the choice (?), questionable if Apple wants benefit its partners.

I've same problem with iPhone 4, pepephone carrier in Spain. I hope this problem will be solved soon. I use tethering when travelling and I'm not considering changing my carrier. After the bad experience with ios 7.0, I was happy with ios 7.1 till I discovered the problem with hotspot. Now I'm considering JB or moving to other OS.

I used iphone 4 and update to ios 7.1 and have a same problem in Thailand . Why you take a long time to fix it. Hope will be better soon.
