Iphone 5S freezing after IOS 7.1

There are an increasing number of reports of freezing and lag following the update to 7.1. I use Kakoa chat and have noticed I get severe lag or freezes when the phone is low on ram. I only saw this following the 7.1 update. Hopefully Apple will release a fix soon.

Yep I'm freezing a lot too, kinda annoying cos it definitely feels a bit slicker / quicker in general!

I've had the same problem since upgrading my iPad 3 to 7.1. The screen freezes and all of the buttons quit working. This includes the home button and the button that I must press to reboot. I also upgraded my iPhone 5s and thus far have had no problems with it. We need a version 7.1.1 soon.

same here. freezes on multiple occasions, i.e. using playing music using airplay, opening safari etc, haven't really found a pattern yet. sometimes freezes for just 15-30 seconds, sometimes doesn't unfreeze at all and have to do hard reset. iphone 5s

Same problem. I bought a iphone 5s in December 2013, from the first day, the iphone resets itself using any application. After installing iOs 7.0.6 or iOs 7.1, the touchscreen sometimes doesn't work.The iphone only works when you touch physical buttons (home, power or volume), touchscreen is dead. This happens until you reset it or you press the power button to come back to lock screen. Once done, it works fine until the next freeze.

I have got the same problem with my iphone 5, the screen starts to freeze continuously and when ever i type a message, its driving me crazy..apple do something asap..we are in need of an 7.1update.

Same here, at first I thought it was only whatsupp but then music freezed...safari...facebook messenger. It's really annoying! The pattern I see is that those apps im running the most, those make my Iphone 4 crash all the time.

I just want to update ya'll. I've restored my phone (iphone 4) and set it as "New Iphone" instead of old...and it seemed to fix this problem (for me at least) then i put back all my info contacts,fotos, notes etc. I haven't needed to reboot my phone today (day 1) not a single time! 🙂 Good luck!

I have the same problem: no notifications from whatsapp. This morning I did a hard reset. It didn't work. I've restored my iphone (4) and I have restored only the contacts and calendar data (I cant lost it). Then I have reinstalled the app. It still doesn't work.

It only works if I have the screen active. Passing two minutes from the phone blocking, the connection in whatsapp get lost and I can't get any notification. When I unblock my phone and open the application once again, it gets connected and then all the messages are retrieved.
