Iphone 5s battery drains fast after ios 7.1 update.

Am I the only one who seems to be experiencing this? My iphone 5S battery seem to drain much faster than usual, and charge longer. I heard that the new update is supposed to increase battery life, and read comparison threads regarding other iphones that are capable of a much better battery life than mine.

I've had my phone for 3 months, never have dropped it once or anything of the sort, if that matters. My battery drains to 50% within an hour or so after intense use on the lowest level of brightness, and I seem to lose about 5-7 percents when on standby for 5 hours or so. Is this normal? Is it perhaps due to the fact that I am mostly using 3g, and applications that require more processing such as tumblr (graphics and gifs) as well safari? I'm just worried that my battery may be draining to quick, despite the update which's supposed to make it much better according to many people.

Well, there's a surprise! IOS 7.1 wrecks the battery life of the 4S just as the 6 appears on the market - what a coincidence 😮

Apple must think we are idiots, which is probably good judgment, since we keep falling for their scams.

I will try to fix this battery issue on my 5s one more time. Previous posters suggested upgrading to the iOS 8 could solve the issue ?

I am no longer a fan of apple so won't waste my money on the ifone 6.... Samsung android works ok for me atm...

i had also batery problems.but when it turned out that my display lighting was too bright,so about 85% clear,when i brought him back around the hilt,so 50% to 60%...after that my batery problem was solved...the display ***** pretty much current,so pleasecheck it

I upgraded my iphone 5C to 8.3 recently. I hate to upgrade because it seems to always break something. But this is serious. My battery is draining 10% per hour with no use. I disabled everything suggested with no help. I went online to check the SN to see if it was eligible for replacement per some forums, it said it was not eligible or the battery had already been replaced. I opened a ticket with Apple. I am about to get on a flight and am concerned that my app with my tickets will not be available for my connections due to the battery draining. Help!
