4s call problem after upgrading to 7.1

Hi All,

After upgrading to 7.1, my 4s is completely no sound when calling someone and when answer the call.

I cannot hear any thing from the other end and vice verse. The phone ring when some one rings me. But no sound when I ring someone. Enable speaker also does not give any sound.

I tested my phone using viber, mic and speaker are normal. Recording and music play are also good. Which means nothing wrong with hardware.

Already reset the phone and event restore from downloaded IOS using shift + Restore did not help.

Please investigate. My phone is now useless. Cannot call or answer phone call as it is completely silence.

Any one having the same issue? Any work-around please.

Thanks

Swapped faulty board of iphone to another housing and components which was upgraded to 7.1 suscessfully, restored in dfu mode, still not working, so its a board problem and ios 7.1 is not that the ios detect problems on components like the speaker, earpice, etc....maybe its with some boards only, manufactured on certain dates or something like that... Anyone has other news? Ideas? This phone was working 2 weeks ago, cant stand the idea that now is a total waste! Music still sounds, even on earspeaker when i made a call and turned the music on, then after disconecting the call it didnt wanted to play the music from the ear speaker and the bluetooth turned on by itself again and the option to change the sound from speaker to iphone on the task menu didnt let me change the sound to iphone again! ...dont know what to do anymore!

Hi All,

I'm lucky. Apple has replaced my phone even out of warranty.

So if you are having problem, try to talk to log a case with support engineer then see Apple repair center. They may able to do something for you if the phone is less than 2 years from purchase date.

No software fix for now, only hardware replacement is solution.

Good luck.

After all this time i found a solution, faulty audio compiler chip! Inside the metal shields of the board near the a4 chip! I removed the shield, looked for a little square chip, and heated for 10 seconds at 300 degrees with a heat gun, then i cut a little square of plastic and placed it over the chip to make pressure and closed back the metal shield. Now its back to normal, before the upgrade, never presented any problem...dont know why it started to fail after the upgrade! I wish to upload a picture but i dont know if i can do it here, search on youtube for icc audio compiler fix.
