Not me with my personal iPhone 5s and business iPhone 5.
Have you tried a reset, which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release?
Hi Allan,
no I haven't try that. What should I do after I do that though?

If a reset doesn't help, and assuming the phone was never jailbroken, try these steps:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Restore the iOS, also restoring a backup
Restore the iOS, without restoring a backup (like new)
Try a reset first which may resolve it.
Hi Allan,
thanks for all the suggestions.
I believed this phone was never jailbroken. Problems started to occur when I was updating from 7.0.6 to 7.1 yesterday. During the proccess, itunes promted errors like inability to continue installation and that a restore must be made. Therefore, I followed through the steps and when it finally finish restoring, it has the new iOS, but when I started restore backups from iClouds, it keeps crashing.
So after numerous tries with numerous backups from iCloud and from my mac, I finally gave up and started setting this phone up brand new. However, the problems kept persisting.
I will try with the reset 1st and see if the problems persist.
Thanks!
Marc
If restoring as a new phone didn't help, this phone has a hardware problem or was previously hacked/jailbroken. The only fix is to replace the phone.
Hi modular747,
may I know is there any credible way to check about hardware malfunction as a leveraging point to exchange with the store I purchase this phone from?

Marc
Not unless you're a trained tech with expensive test equipment. If the phone is under warranty, you should take it to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.
Hi modular747,
I am beginning to suspect that my iphone really has been jailbroken before. I just encountered an error 4013 and the phone refuse to restore itself.
Anyone knows exactly what error 4013 means?
Marc
Previous software run on the phone doesn't matter; constant crashes do.
Error 4013 is usually a USB connection problem:
Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.
hi modular747,
thanks for all these infos
much appreciated.
regards
Marc
You're welcome
my iphone 5s crashed regularly prior to updating to 7.1, and still crashes frequently. When updating from 7.0.X to 7.1 my phone was "bricked" and i had to do a total restore using itunes.. what a pain! and now.. it still crashes.
Setting it up after restoral it crashed while setting up touch id. This morning after taking a picture i got the "blue screen of death". Two crashes in less than 12 hours already.
Latest diagnostic errors:
Bug type: 110: OS_version ios 7.1 (11D1167)
Apple S5L8960xplatformErrorHandler: AMC Error!
Hello there,
I have an iPhone 5S and it was working very well before, but after updating it to the 7.1 it's been crashing all the time, specially when I try to launch some apps, hang up a call, and so on.. It sometimes gets the blue screen!! :<
The battery became awefully bad. I charge it every 3-4 hours, even though I tried to turn off a bunch of settings.
