I upgraded my iPad to iOS 7.1 and now the option to set Safari into Private browsing has disappeared. Any hints where this is moved now?
iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.1
Just click once on the address bar. Now you can see the 'private' button below the screen, just above the keypad. Click it to disable :)

Try to squeeze your screen together, I accidentally did this and it show the screen in black then it had private + done in the upper right had corner. Touch private and that's how it sets it this was after my update with ios7.1 as well. I just used my thumb and index to squeeze screen. Hope it works for you....

Actually, Jengi7's post was the only helpful one for me, who arrived here with the same question... So I am thankful... Just sayin...
In iOS 7.1 I cannot find how to set Safari to Private browsing on iPad. Does anyone know?
