ARD Admin 3.7.1 not seeing all clients, says some are "offline"

The ARD update to 3.7.2 is out today and available through the App Store. It fixed my problems.
I've had similar problems over successive versions of ARD, I think in part due to the fact that we have clients accross a number of VLANs and also that some clients are often connected by both ethernet and wifi.
However I have managed to get things working reasonably well in 3.7.1. I discovered multiple copies of computers in 'All Computers', once I deleted them and re-added the computers from Scanner it seems to have stopped the disappearing act those clients were performing.
Presumably the database was corrupted during one of the upgrades.
