Cost of extended warranty ipad 4

In my opinion, yes. One drop of your device that damages the device more than pays for the cost of AppleCare+. You get two incidents within a two year period with the cost to replace at $79.00. Much cheaper than the out of warranty repair. As long as Apple can read the serial number, regardless of the damage, Apple will replace the device.

Did you buy this iPad 4 new from Apple or an authorized Apple reseller less than a year, ago?

If your iPad is older than one year old, then you are no longer eligible to purchase or register for extended AppleCare.
