Updated my iPhone 4 to IOS 7.1 yesterday. All seems fine but problem is with the front facing camera.
After updating my iPhone 4 to the newest iOS7 version I've had the same problem with the front camera. The front facing camera no longer works. It shows a black screen and the app stuck. I have to force quite the camera app.
Any solutions, Apple?

Personal hotpot also no longer works too it doesn't save the apn for tethering

Did you try restoring via iTunes though?.

Instead of blaming the issue on iOS 7.1 with no justification try basic troubleshooting. Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

If basic troubleshooting has not resolved the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

installed application called "awesome camera" took a few pictures then the apple camera started working and still is.

Well. The front camera was working before upgrading iOS to 7.1.
After iOS7.1, I did reset, restart and restore process. The problem is still there. Front camera isn't working.
same here, after update to iOS 7, iPhone 4's front camera is just stop working. now iPhone 4 got iOS 7.1.2, and still this problem is here.

Similar issue with my iphone 4s, front camera after update to ios 8 freezes for some second and come back to normal mode!
when i move the iphone up - down again the same problem for some second.

my front facing camera on my iPhone 4 stopped working once I "upgraded" to iOS7. I just restored twice and my camera still isn't working. This is unacceptable.
