iPhone 4: Front Camera not working

Updated my iPhone 4 to IOS 7.1 yesterday. All seems fine but problem is with the front facing camera.

After updating my iPhone 4 to the newest iOS7 version I've had the same problem with the front camera. The front facing camera no longer works. It shows a black screen and the app stuck. I have to force quite the camera app.

Any solutions, Apple?

I have tried the reset restore process. I have loaded awesome camera app as suggested by another post here. Still not working. I found this on another site "

This is a hardware problem. This comes up when the ribbon connector from the camera to the main circuit board comes loose or gets disconnected altogether. If you have the right tools and enough DIY skills to open up your iPhone, it's a very simple fix that should be fairly obvious to see. Otherwise, the Apple Store should be able to repair it for you (I would think free of charge, but who knows).

Anyone here have experience with this or tried this?

i thought the problem is cause by the software update...
then i just REALIZE! what if the camera cable is loosen from the phone board ?
what if it needs to be refresh?, just like restarting a pc,so i
tried removing the front cam from the board and attached it again. then it works.

try to open / detached the front camera cable from the iPhone's board, then attache it again..
but of course turn off your phone before trying to detached the phone's parts.then turn it on and see if it fix the problem
