My iPhone won't connect to iTunes

When I plug my iPhone into my computer it doesn't show up in iTunes. I've tried many things to fix this but what works for others doesn't work for me. I've tried updating software for iTunes on my computer and software for my phone and nothing works. This is super annoying. PLEASE HELP. 😢
