I can't see where this did or didn't get fixed.

On my phone, when I open my calendar there's another tab at the bottom that says calendar.

If I click on that there's a placd to check or uncheck

Holidays in U.S.

Christian Holidays

My Schedule

It seems to have worked for MY phone and computer. It was frustrating until I found it. Hope it works for you too

I may have found a way to hide/disable the US Holiday calendar from appearing in the list of available calendars.

Open Settings>General>Language & Region>Region then set it to "U.S. Virgin Islands".

This will use the expected U.S. regional formats for date, time, currency, etc., but it will remove "U.S. Holidays" from your calendar listing.

Hope this helps.

My issue isn't exactly the same, but could be because of the same reason, IDK. This morning while looking to edit my Easter Sunday day, on my iPod touch, I did a quick search for Easter. Unfortunately, I had two holiday apps on both my mac and my iPod. One was US Holidays & the other is Holidays in the United States. I must have added one by accident a while back. On my iMac Easter was listed twice both on April 5th. On my iPod it has Easter listed twice also, at least when I search. Easter is on the correct date in the Holidays in The United States app, but in the US Holidays app, it lists it as April 20. It's only there in the US Holidays app, when I do a search for Easter. I've edited my google calendar, thinking that perhaps I had two dates listed for Easter, and that iCloud was getting your wrong date from google. It also had two dates for Easter, but deleting the US Holidays app, on google, made no difference. I tried deleting the app, on both my iPod and computer. It allowed me to do so, but it then suddenly added, another date for Easter, this time it added Sunday March 27 2016 and April 20th on my iMac in calendar category the Holidays of the United States. A third choice is the correct on, it is on April 5, in the same app Actually I had 4, but then one disappeared w/o me doing anything. Does anyone have any idea, how to delete the offending app, or could it be both apps, or possibly even my iCloud settings? I do often get mac alerts saying that "this mac cannot connect to iCloud, because of a problem. Open system preferences. Unfortunately I can never see anything wrong wt it. Thank you so much for your help ...

It seemed to fix itself, but it took time to occur. I think I may have been confused because Easter is on different dates on different years. I still can't fathom why I had 4 dates at one time, considering I've only been using this iPod over WIFI since 2012. iCloud also wasn't applying changes to my iPod in the usual timely manner. Usually I'll make a change on my iMac, and almost instantly the change appears on my iPod. For some odd reason, it wasn't working that way today, and I do have a strong wifi hookup. I thought it wasn't applying the change I made in deleting the faulty calendar, but I gave it some time, and it did. I'm still thinking that the slower mac to iPod time, is related to iCloud though. I get a message at least once a day saying that my iMac, is having trouble connecting to iCloud.
