HI Linc Davis, I am hoping that you would be kind enough to help me with my question. Searching this site for answers to my problem (under other users questions), I have noticed that you have been really helpful. I did a Diagnosis test as you instructed but cannot decipher any of the information as I am not at all computer savvy.. Would you be kind enough to have a look at my question & diagnosis info to see if you can be of any help to my issue?

dears,

I have tried almost everything, clear DNS, remove MacKeeper totally, search for unknown files, removing extensions, plug-ins, and looking all over the library with no luck.

I went over some main folders as HD, and library and found some unfamiliar files. I took https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ and looked for all malware.

MY PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!!!!!

🙂😁

Thank you, jeannelois. Your very simple solution fixed the situation. After changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 it took a few seconds and both Safari and Firefox starting loading all websites.

I have a MacBook Pro 10.6.8. On Oct. 24 2016, I noticed that Firefox wouldn't load any websites. Then, I found a message that indicated that my computer's date had been set to 2001. My laptop had ran out of power a couple of days ago, and when I restarted it, something switched the date. I reset the date correctly, and Google and Facebook started running again, but no other websites would load. I applied your solution and problem solved! Let's hope the fix lasts.
