It's hard to flip between threads to understand your issue. Places to start...does it show up in Disk Utility? Basically does the mac know it's there and finder is not showing it or does the mac not know it's there.

TBH I don't see how it's hard, the OP links directly to 2 posts that outline everything.

But if it's really that much of a PIA, I suppose I can paste them both into a post here.

As mentioned in one of those posts, everything looks fine in Disk Utility.

So the Mac seemingly knows it's there...

Created another admin acct, logged into that & whammo, all the missing partitions from the eHDD are showing-up on the desktop again.

So, something somewhere in the other admin account has gotten damaged, or gone missing... :-/

I found the solution...
