No Dolby Digital Apple TV 3 firmware 6.1 (6698.99.16)

I'm half way through season 6 of 24 which doesn't have 5.1, by the time I've finished I'm pretty sure it should be back. I'm not too fussed at the moment.

It is a little odd though that it was working earlier and now it's not.

As of 4/29 15:16:00, the Netflix service was offline with in ATV.

Perhaps they caught the problem and are fixing it now. I tend to believe that this one is a host side issue.

That's what i also thought in the first place. What makes me wonder: dd over airplay still works. dd over native 5.3 app still works.

I've spoken to Netflux and they are aware of the issue. Sadly it appears to be an ongoing problem as tonight even after the outage, all titles are still not playing with Dolby.

I just spent 2hrs going through every setting on my Apple TV, AVR and trying various cables trying to figure out why Dolby Digital stopped working, then I bumped into this thread. When will this be addressed?

My recommendation is to let Netflix know you are suffering. The more of us report this, the quicker Apple and Netflix solve the issue.

After 6.1.1 update 5.1 DD worked fine on ATV. After couple of days no 5.1 DD again. Once again having to airplay from ipad to get 5.1. Come on netflix/apple get this fixed.

ad5901, and all, neither Apple Support/Engineer nor Netflix officially read this board. So if you want to be heard you wlil need to post your comments at their feedback sites.

Have submitted feedback to apple but am unable to locate a feedback form for netflix uk!

I really hope this does not get ignored and carries on for several months.

Was thrilled when DD was fixed with latest update. Imagine my dies appointment when I went to watch a movie last night and discovered it only in stereo again. The sound difference is VERY apparent. Submitted feedback to Apple. Hope they fix it quickly and it actually STAYS that way. What a disappointment.

Same here guys ! 6.1.1 fixed this PITA but what seems like overnight, DD is gone 😟

Anyone else having problems using the Apple TV Remote app on ipad. Every time I try to use it constantly re-connects to Apple TV and does not work to control the Apple TV.

All ok now. Restarted ipad and remote app working as normal.
