Your computer must be connected to the Internet in order to download the GarageBand sound library. Check your network connection and try again. What can I do to fix this problem?

I get the same message that my internet is NOT connected. I tested it with an Linux PC, by tracing the connection, everything's fine, inet is always up on my side.

Sometimes the error messages are misleading. It can be a mixture of timeouts caused by too much traffic at the AppStore, a download file that simply cannot be installed, like Jay O.'s experiments suggest, it can be aproblem, that the App Store cannot be contacted for other reasons - a firewall or antivirus software interfering, a problem with the AppleID, a permissions error in the user library, etc.

It would help to know, if someone actually could install the complete update. This way we would know, that we have to look for the problem on our macs. For me, the drum kit "Manchester" is still missing.

A couple things....

1) For those looking for "loops" - I think the update description is what is confusing you. Nowhere does it say that the update contains any new loops:

2) Not to rub it in, but I have 18 "Kits" and 18 "Drummers" and all of them are now working, including the "Manchester" kit.

How many actual loops do you have?

I'mpretty sure if the original jam pack (the one you need to pay 4,99€ for) tells you it "adds" 1500 loops and 150 sounds...

the sum of these would be at least something around 1500 or more... but I only got 1181

It should be something about 1650 (1500 loops and 150 sounds as the payed package is) plus the new ones.

Have you checked your filters? The Loop Browser is context sensitive.

The top menu should be set to "Loops" and the scale to "Any", to see how many loops you really are having.

Make sure, Keyword Browsing is disabled in the Preferences > Loops panel.
