Is the model a 12" or 14" display?
Have you sought information based on a serial number lookup?
Some service repair companies also have a parts inventory
& their personnel perhaps could help you find obsolete parts.
And their database of parts should show if they interchange.
Because these evolved, cases changed, logic boards, too;
and suppliers of parts (engineering, shape, processes) the
idea of a white iBook (G3/G4) sharing parts is almost unlikely.
Comparison guide and repair information may be able to help
discover what parts may share inventory numbers or cross-
reference; however some later parts (if refurbish/repaired)
may be of different reference number.

Maybe someone in the repair business would be able to answer
your general question with some degree of conditional accuracy.
I've looked into a few of these, and most will not share parts. A
few who can, may have different color wires, more or less of them,
and no technical information to help sort out the means of adapting.
A few original Apple Service manuals on pdf years ago, available to
authorized trained Apple techs, did show alternative part numbers
but these tended to follow the internal path to troubleshoot, repair,
and replacement parts were an essential path to restore function.
Some third party companies with refurbished parts, detail if their
part can be used on other machines; some of those may be fringe
models between main builds, where parts were changed later on.
Perhaps one of those here who still have an active interest in these
also has some sources of information, or knows about them directly.
I've only owned 2 iBooks (500MHz G3/1.33GHz G4), 1 PB G4, and
one MacBook1.1 1.83GHz. And a few dozen other models.
Hopefully you can find those details...
Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
