I accidentally hit "Don't Trust" and now my iPhone won't sync to my computer. It won't ask me to trust it again even when I restart everything. Now what?

Omg how can you think that is helpful, i started reading it and thinking i'd found hope but no!!!!!!!!!! How does Start>devices make any sense to yoU!? God some people. Start as in lets start with this? Start the computer? Start up your device?

So glad i am not the only person to accidently hit the wrong button.

This is exactly what you should do. Disconnect and Reconnect the device. Then "Trust" you are ready to go.. 🙂

I've done this before, I didn't really mind at the time so I just plugged it in to have it charge most of the time. One day it asked me again, I don't know why, but I think my computer just forgot or something. My suggestion is that you just turn both off and maybe wait a day or two if its not that important right now, otherwise take someone else's advice lol.

Ok, this just happened to me and none of the above seemed to work. But, I have found a solution that worked for me:

go to settings > general > reset > then click 'reset all settings' (only click if you happy to reset all settings)

Obviously, this will reset all your settings but not lose content.

My iphone 5S was attached to the computer and itunes throughout this process .... it will power down, restart and you will notice the sync icon start to whirr!

Obviously once redone you will have to reset security thumb/passcode - but your sync should now be working!!!

I'm not sure if this is still relevant, but you might want to plug it into a different usb port. It could be the 30-pin connector, or it could be the usb port you're plugging it into. It could also be the usb part of the cord that you plug into your computer.

I had this problem where my iPad would not trust my computer and would not sync. The solution I found was to reinstall iTunes and then suddenly everything worked perfectly.

Problem: Trust loop

Solution: Reinstall iTunes

I tried this but it said that iTunes doesn't recognize the host.

Including this next post about how to fix it as long as you are running Parallels on your iMac.

I had to uninstall the driver as opposed to deleted/disabling it, but other than that, this worked perfectly!
