help with brother ql 700 printer usps /ebay shipping label

I need help

I have a imac osx 10.6 and a ql 710w printer (usb)and I want to print usps labels using ebay/paypal.

I have followed the instructions online but have not been successful in printing a usable label .

It looks to be working how it’s supposed to, the label is displayed correctly on screen but prints wrong. I get a 8” mostly blank label with 2x2 printed area in the center. The paper is vertical and the label is horizontal crossing in the middle.

If I use the ptouch program the printer works fine, no issues.

So how do I get the label or the paper to turn to line up???

In the print dialog, change the orientation from portrait to landscape, or vice versa.

could not find brother suport forum

i did call them and got set up instructions

its all there except hpw to turn the image

when printing from ebay after you press the print button it goes directly to the printer

and does not display a print dialog box

Don't use the label printer. Print the label on a sheet of paper and cut it out.

I want to look like I run a professional. You can't do that by taping paper on a shipping box

Then find a label printer that works the way you expect it to. I know nothing about the one you have, and you seem to have ruled out every possibility of solving the problem.

The problem is that no one want to take ownership of the problem. Brother blames eBay, eBay blames Apple, Apple blames pittny bows for not having a driver... I was ok with that excuse 10 years ago when I started with eBay.

Now there is no excuse for it. To make a consumer product that does not work with mac and PC is not exsepatble.

So back it goes for a refund

I sent the printer back. And I did some more looking. Anybody ever use http://www.peninsula-group.com/Driver/ for a printer driver. I have a old ups lable printer and with this driver they claim I can print from eBay shipping. The problem is it kinda costly $100.00

But if it works it would be worth it
