Macbook Pro 17 (2011) Video Card crash

My system is a Windows 8.1 x64 Pro with Boot Camp 5.1 running on a 2011 17 Macbook Pro. I'm experiencing Windows crashes and distorted screen images with artifacts almost every time I start programs that require heavy video-processing (e.g.: games). The problem also happens, even if rarely, at random without doing anything particular.

Any fix or help ?

Thanks for the reply.

If I use latest drivers then the frequency of card crash or failure increase. So I have to use old drivers which came with Macbook for bootcamp.

Also when card fail completely I have to boot macbook from Mac OSX DVD which help me to solve card failure issue then I have to restart in bootcamp from DVD disk utility or from OSX

I don't think there's a good answer for you. You said an updated driver makes it worse, and there's no way to use the Intel driver within Windows. It seems like your options are:

1. Wait for an updated driver. (Likely won't happen for older hardware.)

2. Go back to Windows 7.

3. Run Windows in a virtual machine.
