I downloaded the Java applet to allow me to upload folders into my Google Drive and it says failed when trying to run it in Safari. But now it won't even let me upload files into my google drive. Can someone help me?

I have a relatively new MacBook Air and I had this exact same problem: I couldn't upload (it would say my file was corrupt), and I couldn't install the applet (like I used on my old iBook as a workaround since I had trouble uploading directly). The solution hit me once I downloaded Google Chrome and went to do run it for the first time: use the Google Drive Application in my application folder. Now I have no trouble uploading files through the Google Drive Finder window.
