Apple Application Support not found error 2
Windows 7
I was having the same error as Anthuleafter installing windows 10. I unpacked the file as suggested and then after installing and uninstalling several times trying a number of the different suggestions, I eventually saw in the add/remove programs section, that the installed had installed the 32 bit apple support services, instead of the 64. After uninstalling the 32 bit version and installing the 64 bit version from the unpacked file, then installing iTunes, it worked!
Thank you so much... it works

If you're still having problems try http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9779673, a Windows 10 compatible version of the Microsoft Program Installer & Uninstaller Fix-It tool.

All I had to do was repair it in Control Panel and then re-run the installation 🙂
Thank you so much.
Awesome.. and simple. It worked.
Just had to unpack the iTunes64Setup.exe file as you said. Winrar was somehow not doing it, so I used WINcmd.
And then ran AppleApplicationSupport64.exe. BANG !!
THANKS!!
Hey turingtest2, thanks for the tip about the MFC security update, that solved my issue getting iTunes properly installed!
You're welcome. 🙂

An error occurred during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type+"win32",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken="1fc8b 3 b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x80073715.
As mentioned earlier in the thread:
The message "An error occurred during installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitrcture=..." may occur because a particular library file is not included in the distribution package supplied with iTunes. Installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update before attempting to reinstall iTunes may help.
See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for further advice.

I did that. It did not change the problem.
There are three versions of that update. Did you install the correct one for your processor architecture? Did you then attempt a clean install of iTunes? If you have a 64-bit system have you tried installing the "for older video cards" release? Did you make sure Windows was completely updated, disable any anti-virus software, and run the installer as the administrator?
