Spatial conform doesn't work

I tried to resize a clip using Spatial conform, but nothing happens. It just stays the same size. Is that bug or does someone know how to fix it?

Thanks

You can do things with an XML without the media. All properties are still maintained. You just see red boxes.

Anyway, a couple of draft edits later and this problem has reappeared again. Definitely a bug. Project is getting corrupted somehow during editing.

I know I can export XML then reimport it as a workaround like I did before. This seems to 'clean' the corrupt project but it is **** annoying and time wasting.

It gets worse. I tried my usual workaround (export/reimport) but this time it seemed to 'clean' the corrupt project but there is also a new problem.

Now even though the project is 1920x820 (21:9), the viewer is convinced the project is 1920x1080 (16:9), so all the reframing and automation I did looks terrible.

I am convinced there is a bug that is related to working in non typical resolutions. Gradually as I duplicate to work on another draft, things are getting slowly corrupted along the way. Many confusions over resolution.

Does apple actually test the 'custom resolution' settings? I have never experienced so much of this craziness in a standard format.

I am doing everything I mention on the timeline. My timeline is just behaving very crazy! The project is getting corrupted somehow whenever I duplicate it (as I do for each experimental draft).

In the duplicated project, some clips just start having weird properties and misbehaving. FCP X seems to be really unreliable when working in 21:9. Never had these problems in 16:9 edits and other typical resolutions.

This is driving me crazy as am having to throw a lot of work away to get to back to the last working version. Just had to throw away the last two edits.

I have found another workaround. It is more reliable than the export/import workaround I tried before but quite painful as needs to be done individually on every affected clip.

For each affected clip:

1. Select clip on timeline

2. Copy (To later paste back attributes so they don't get lost)

3. Find to show it selected in clip browser

4. Drag from found region in clip browser to replace clip on timeline

5. Paste attributes (If you have changed any you can rescue them here)
