Can I do anything for my iphone 3g?

I had an iphone 4s, but just got stolen, so I went back to my old 3g and I downloaded the newest IOS version. it fully downloaded but now my iphone just wont turn on. the screen goes off and on and just shows the white apple for a few seconds and thats it. Before I did this, the phone was in full working condition. I dont know how if you can go back to previous IOS versions but i need some help. I connected the phone to my computer and nothing happens, computer doesnt even shows the phone. What can I do to fix this? I know I wont be able to use it as a new iphone 5 or 4, but at least I would like to use it as a normal phone with wifi sometimes. At least ultil I can afford another iphone. Thanks!!

iPhone 3G, iOS 6.1.3, It wont turn on or anything!

You may have to go the route of using the DFU (Device Firmware Update) method to re-flash the iOS version on your iPhone. I don't remember exactly how to do it, but it is something like connect it to your computer's USB point, then press and hole the 2 physical buttons like instructed above. THe difference is, once, the iPhone starts, the restart process, release the slwwp/wake button but continue to hold the home button. Your computer should give you a message about finding an iPhone in recovery mode. At that point, let it re-download iOS 6.1.5 and go through the restore mode. Hopefully your device wasn't jailbroken before you started this process because that can cause problems for the upgrade process.
