Can you use Facetime over 3G (not WIFI & not 4G) on your iPhone 4S? It worked like a charm under iOS 6.x and Apple has decided to disable it under version 7, and all without telling us! Shame on Apple! I have high suspicion to believe Apple has done this, so can anyone else confirm my account? I have tested FT over 3G on multiple iPhones and all confirm my theory. Can you?

I just tried to use FaceTime and do not have a wifi connection and it worked as it does when I do have wifi. ( sprint 3G, iPhone 4S)
On the other hand the phone I connected to over FaceTime did have wifi so maybe that has something to do with it but it can also be your carrier and not the phone.
Gee, you seem to be making a lot of statements castigating Apple for something you are not even sure that they have done. In fact, they have not disabled anything in FaceTime concerning the cellular support.
So, not sure what your problem is, but since you're only question seems to be whether or not your theory can be confirmed, the answer is no, it cannot.
If you would like help, then tell us what is happening when you try to make a FaceTime call, what error or other response you are getting, what your 3G signal strength is, etc., and we will do our best to help you out.

I am on Sprint and using a iPhone 4S. What state are you in? Its just so strange that Facetime REFUSES to work anywhere in Colorado I have tried over 3G, and I have tried multiple phones as well.
No error it just says connecting..... I have tried everything under the sun, and even tried other phones and NONE work over 3G in the Colorado area. Nothing I have tried works, and yes all the bonehead suggestions I have tried.
I know in my area Sprint is working on the towers and all, but even outside of my area the same issues, and what makes it strange is that I am able to stream video from the FoxNews app just fine.
Is Sprint allowing FaceTime over you cellular connection?
Sprint has been improving their coverage in my area (New England) and I have to say it has gotten a lot better. It has to be the area you are in and the coverage you have, sorry to say but have patience with your service provider. Apple has nothing to do with what service provider you use.

Well, FaceTime over cellular is a joint process - FaceTime on the device and the carrier through whom it is going. Have you tried to talk to Sprint about this? Or is that one of the bonehead suggestions that you have already tried.
Again, you are not helping us to help you with remarks like "I have tried all the bonehead suggestions", since that would tell us exactly nothing about what you have and have not tried.
Methinks you do not really want help at all - just a place to vent.

I have spoken with them multiple times. It just gets so frusterating. I mean why can I watch a video on a news app just fine over the connection but cant facetime? Why?
They claim they do, but the other day ago a Sprint employee suggested that this may be a Apple problem, and why I thought they may have disabled it in ioS 7.1 over 3G since they figured most were using 4G and WIFI. Aparantly I was incorrect.

Yesterday I ran the test and had 2.24Mbps download and 0.94Mbps upload and it still did not work and the other person had WIFI. Go figure.
