I have a PowerBook G4 FireWire and i need to buy an external HD - but i'm lost between the USB connection 2.0 or 3.0. Which one would be compatible with this type of PowerBook? Would you recommend any brand?

Why not FireWire?
It certainly will not do USB 3.

We had a FW hard drive and it crashed so on us... would probably prefer a USB one.
The bus connection has very little to do with disk drive chashing.
USB on your PowerBook G4 will be wat slower then FireWire.
