IPad mini built in dictionary

Hi all , I removed the built in dictionary on my iPad mini . I did it when I was looking at a definition of a word and I chose define and then in Manage, I chose the x mark I front of the Oxford Dictionary and Apple dictionary and the first two dictionaries got uninstalled. Now I want the Apple dictionary and the new Oxford American dictionary back, but it only has a circle mark in front of it and I cannot download it again. Please help me. Thanks in advance!

Good Morning Bob!!,

You must of worked into the wee hous of the morning. Your work ethic must be commended. I didn't mean to occupy your time as much as I did last night. Please express my apologies to Paria Pariaii. I was able to load the Oxford dictionary and it gave the definition I was looking for. Apparently the Apple Dictionary download is not working. I guess I can remove the Webster Dictionary I loaded several months ago, now that I have the Oxford Dictionary. Thank you for the tip and the knowledge that I do not have to type in the word that I want defined.

Thanks again Bob, I hope you get the rest you deserve today,

Xi, Xi,

Darrell

Aloha Parialli. I should have thought of this sooner. Try double clicking the home button, then swiping the app preview of the dictionary up to make sure the app is closed. Beyond that I'm at a loss to know what to suggest next. Hopefully somebody will know how to get rid of the blue circles. If you don't get any answers try reposting you question. This time mention you tried the basics; a reset, tapping the circle, and double clicking the home button and closing the app. I'm sure there's a solution, I'm just not seeing it. Bob.
