Texts I send are showing up "Unknown"

Okay, my friends and I have been having this issue since yesterday in our group texts. It is NOT an apple or iphone issue. We know this because one of my friends has a windows phone and is getting the same messages. If you search on google multiple people with non I devices also have had this issue. We are almost positive that the issue lies within AT&T. We know this because pne of our friends in the group text has t-mobile iphone and he is not getting any of these messages. It does not seem to be an iMessage issue but it is a sms or MMS issue. Lastly, F ATT

We are having the same issue the last couple of days. We have 6 members in the group, 4 AT&T (2 iphone 2 Samsung) and 2 VZW (iphones)

Only the AT&T phones are getting unknown messages. VZW sometimes simply don't get all messages.

Our messages are green (text) but all iphone users have iMessage turned on. We have no issues that we know of, with individual messages.

We have a family member hospitalized and it's not good to be having these issues. We need to know how to get this resolved. Thanks everyone for posting this so far. Please post any solutions you find!

Having the same issue in one of my group chats. This group chat has been active for months but this just started happening 2 days ago. 5 other people have at&t and are having the same issue but those with verizon in the group message are fine

Any updates from anyone on this matter? I posted a photo of screen shots on my FB page to see if it was happening to anyone else. Three people have replied that it is happening to them, as well...all are on AT&T, but not sure yet if all use an iPhone.

We don't know what we don't know, but are there any other thoughts on this being an issue exclusively with Group Texts?

We have a total mixture: 6 devices, 4 AT&T and 2 Verizon. 4 iphones, 2 Samsung.

On AT&T, we have 2 Samsungs and 2 iPhones

On Verizone, we have 2 iPhones

Group message is all in green, iphone people have iMessage turned on.

Verizon people sometimes miss messages, but AT&T people get the Unknown Message sometimes. Both situations are bad.

I've asked for one of our AT&T people to call to complain but we are kinda busy right now and not a lot of time for dealing with this.

It's very intermittant, but all of the users in my group with the problem are on AT&T and they do not all have iPhones. I haven't had the problem today so far. I'm supposed to get a phone call today with more information from AT&T tech department. If they tell me anything useful, I will post it here.

My group is getting hit with this same bug and we have 6 iPhone 5's (3 AT&T, 2 Sprint, 1 Verizon) and 3 GSIII's (1 AT&T, 1 Verizon, 1 T-Mobile). So far, there is no pattern to who isn't receiving what texts or whose phone is sending ones that return the "Unknown, Message not found." I'm very sure it's an issue with AT&T but it's difficult for me to check who's getting what with 9 people. It's also interesting because my LTE speeds blow lately and I've never had an issue with AT&T before about a month ago. I'm gonna try to go check it out with them soon.

Are the messages you're sending blue (iMessages) or green (SMS/MMS messages)? If they're green, contact your carrier.

What happens if you just send a message directly to your husband?

It goes through as an iMessage or an SMS message?

What if you try to send him a picture?
