Gamecube Broadband Adapter

Hi, I just got a Gamecube Broadband Adapter. Im trying to share the internet from my Powerbook to the Gamecube. When I try Automatic it cant find the IP address, and when I go to manual it asks for the default router. I go into the settings on my Mac and under router it is blank. What is the default router or how can i get the Automatic to work?

P.S. I am sharing internet from Airpot to Ethernet

Thnx

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.7), 12 inch, 512 MB RAM, 80GB HD, 160GB External HD

I've been helping some one with their PS2 with the same issue of sharing, as seen here, http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2944023#2944023

If you have a Airport Extreme try using the LAN option to connect your Gamecube.
The ethernet cord from your modem goes into the APE(AirPort Extreme) base and then there is one more ethernet jack, which is the LAN port. Plug in an additional ethernet cord in the LAN port to your GC Adapter and try establishing a connection that way.

In the other topic that I listed above, i attempted to try to get sharing to work with my macbook to PS2 by sharing from airport to built in ethernet, which didn't work for my PS2 but instead it worked for another computer.

If you cannot game close to your AirPort base, head to a local electronics store (circuit city, best buy etc) and look for a wirless link system for the GC/PS2/XBOX. you could then hook that up the same way as the LAN option but there is that wireless factor for your GC then, note i have never used one of those link systems, a friend of mine has one, i do not know how to set up exactly.

Hope that helps
